3 More Weight Loss Tips

I read a rather interesting article yesterday on "7 foods that fight bodyfat over 40."
I had to chuckle, as these foods would fight bodyfat for people over the age of 14, let alone 40.
But there were three tips that I really liked and wanted to share with you.
They are super-easy to implement into your nutrition plan...
Tip 1: Lemon Water
As simple as this sounds, just replacing soda (diet or otherwise) with lemon water was shown to help women lose five lbs- per year more without changing anything else.
Researchers think this is due to two things. First, the body is smarter than you think. Tricking it with fake sugars doesn't work that well.
Second, phosphoric acid, found in all sodas, changes the pH in your blood to a more acidic state. This leads to bone loss and a slowing down of the fat-burning process. One or two here and there is okay, but don't guzzle diet-sodas.
Tip 2: Raw Flaxseed
Flaxseed ground up in a coffee grinder and sprinkled on your cereal will slow down the absorption rate of sugar.
I prefer to add them to shakes as we do in The Every Other Day Diet, but you can add them to anything.
They are healthy, and they definitely help the fatburning process.
Tip 3: Balanced Hormones
This was actually mentioned, but not elaborated upon in several of the studies.
So I will elaborate for them:
If your hormones are not balanced and healthy, you will not burn bodyfat no matter how hard you diet.
I learned this the hard way at 27. I was diagnosed with a serious pituitary condition that affected all my fatburning hormones. I had to undergo HRT-- or replacement therapy -- in order to get my life and fatburning power back.
if I would have known then what I know now, I would have followed a natural approach first. But I was not a nutritionist or that into fitness back then, so I used what I could and did my best.
